How this is made

The tools are named, not hidden — a workshop where you can't see the tools is a showroom.

This site is built with AI assistance — plainly and on purpose. I direct coding agents (Claude Code among them) through written concepts, staged builds and reviews with hard gates; the machine drafts, I decide what survives. The same method built most of what sits on the bench.

The order of work matters more than the tools: a concept before any code, real content before decoration, one deliberate signature instead of many effects. Anything that can't argue its place gets cut — the cuts are usually the best part of the story, and some of them are told in the notes.

Static files on purpose: a page should be a thing, not a service.

Set in Archivo and Zilla Slab, self-hosted. Built with Astro, shipped as static files from a small typed data module. No analytics, no cookies, nothing phones home. The page shows its own construction lines, if you ask it to.
